Terms of Service

This website is run by Visionary Dreams Youth Initiative (“VisDream”, “we”, “us”), a youth-focused organisation registered in Tanzania and based in Dar es Salaam.

By using this site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the platform. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. If you are under 18 and want to take part in a VisDream programme, ask a parent or guardian to contact us at info@visdreams.org and we will arrange it with their consent.

Anyone can browse the public pages — our programmes, opportunities, events, and gallery — without an account.

You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and let us know at info@visdreams.org if you think someone else has access to it.

When you register, you agree to:

• Give accurate information about yourself, and keep it up to date.
• Create one account for yourself, rather than several.
• Not register on someone else's behalf or pretend to be someone you are not.
• Not share your login details with anyone.

Applications are reviewed by real people, and inaccurate information about your education, institution, or experience undermines that. It may lead to an application being rejected or an account being closed.

Opportunities listed here may be run by VisDream or by partner organisations. Where an opportunity belongs to a partner, we are connecting you with it — we do not control their selection process, their timelines, or their decisions.

Please understand that:

• Submitting an application does not guarantee you a place, funding, or any other outcome.
• Decisions rest with whoever is running the opportunity, and they are not obliged to explain them.
• Deadlines, requirements, and other details are set by the provider and can change.
• We list opportunities in good faith but cannot guarantee that every detail stays accurate.

If an opportunity ever asks you to pay a fee to apply, treat it with suspicion and tell us at info@visdreams.org. VisDream does not charge young people to apply for the opportunities listed here.

Registering for an event reserves you a place, and we may cap numbers depending on the venue. If you can no longer attend, please cancel your registration so someone else can take the place.

Events can be rescheduled, moved, or cancelled. We will tell registered members as soon as we can when that happens.

We sometimes take photographs and video at our events for our gallery and social media. If you would rather not appear in them, tell the organisers at the event or email info@visdreams.org and we will respect that.

You keep ownership of documents and information you upload. By uploading them, you give us permission to store them and share them with the organisation running the opportunity you applied to, so your application can be considered.

You agree not to upload or submit anything that:

• Belongs to someone else without their permission.
• Is false, misleading, or fraudulent.
• Is unlawful, abusive, harassing, hateful, or discriminatory.
• Contains malware or anything designed to damage the platform.

We may remove content that breaks these rules and, where it is serious, close the account behind it.

Please do not:

• Try to access accounts, data, or administrative areas that are not yours.
• Probe, scan, or test the security of the platform without our written permission.
• Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-collect content or member information.
• Disrupt the service or place unreasonable load on it.
• Use the platform to send spam or to solicit members for unrelated purposes.

If you find a security vulnerability, please report it to info@visdreams.org rather than acting on it. We appreciate being told.

The VisDream name, logo, written content, and design belong to us. You are welcome to share and link to our pages. Please ask before republishing our material as your own or using our branding to suggest we endorse something we have not.

Photographs of participants belong to VisDream or to the people who took them, and should not be reused without permission.

We work to keep this platform accurate, available, and useful, but we provide it as it is. We cannot promise it will always be available or entirely free of errors, and we may change or discontinue features as the organisation grows.

To the extent the law allows, VisDream is not liable for losses arising from decisions made by opportunity providers, from opportunities or events being changed or cancelled, from information published by third parties, or from the platform being temporarily unavailable.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that cannot lawfully be limited, including fraud.

You can ask us to close your account at any time by emailing info@visdreams.org. We will delete your profile, applications, event registrations, and uploaded documents, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used to submit fraudulent applications, or that puts other members at risk. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will explain why first.

We may update these terms as the platform changes. The date at the top shows when they were last revised, and we will notify account holders by email if a change materially affects them. Continuing to use the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania, and disputes fall to the Tanzanian courts. If you have a problem, please email us first — we would much rather resolve it directly.
